How to Nail Your DIY Mani-Pedi With Summer 2026’s Prettiest Nail Trends

Break out your favorite sandals from the cruel prison of winter storage, because open-toe season is upon us!

Tons of fun nail polish colors have already been popping up on fingertips and toes this spring, so we’re rounding up all of the summer 2026 pedicure colors that should make your short list for these warm-weather days. While some are predictable classics with a fresh spin, others are a little unexpected and entirely refreshing.

So take this as your official warning: If your hands and feet (especially) are not quite ready to show off, now’s the time to get them primped, preened and perfectly polished for summer. Read on for the top nail color trends of summer 2026, plus a handful of essential tools to really nail your at-home mani-pedi.

Table of Contents:

The Vivid, Vivacious Classics

Red polish is always in style — but there are two particular shades that we’ll be seeing everywhere this spring and summer. Rather than the wines and burgundies of winter, warmer weather calls for big, bright reds like cherry and poppy.

Just like with makeup, your skin’s undertone can guide you toward the perfect shade of red nail polish. While it’s not critical to coordinate your skin tone to your nail color like you would with your makeup, it can still help narrow your choices when we have so many red options out there. Cherry, for example, is a cooler shade with a blue undertone like JINsoon’s Ardor, while poppy runs warmer with an almost neon infusion of orange like Orly’s Hit the Gas. The poppy pedicure, in particular, is a red-hot choice for warmer weather!

The Creamy, Dreamy Neutrals

Just like reds, you really can’t go wrong with nude-y neutrals either. This summer season, one of the hottest ways to bare your toes is with an au naturel vibe, easily achieved with sheer, so-called milky polishes. Surely, the most milky white of these shades — like ILNP’s Coconut Cream — take a little inspiration from Pantone’s contentious pick for Color of the Year, “Cloud Dancer.” But you can jump on this milky trend with a little touch of color, too! Nude, peach and pink jelly polishes (like Cirque Colors’ Rose Jelly) are also trending for this milky look, offering versatility no matter what color or style you’re wearing.

These sheer lacquers create an almost jelly-like look that creates a little depth, especially when your nails catch the summer sun. But the best part is their buildable opacity. Keep ’em to one or two coats for that milky, jelly-like vibe, or layer on more for an opaque look. You can even layer different colors of jelly polishes for more interest, or dab different shades across your nail for a gorgeous watercolor effect!

The Bold Pops of Nature-Inspired Color

If you really want to make a big statement with your fingertips and toes this summer, you can take a little inspiration from sunny skies, juicy fruits and other pops of nature all around us.

Sky blue is emerging as one of the most popular summer 2026 pedicure colors, and it’s no surprise as it’s been popping up everywhere this year, as predicted by Pinterest. But instead of the icy blues we saw for winter, the summer version of the hue — like Gucci’s Lucy Baby Blue — is more inspired by lounging poolside or cloud-watching while sunbathing at the beach.

Maybe you call it matcha or maybe you call it pistachio, but there’s no denying that soft green nail polish — like Lakur by Londontown’s Lichen — is having a moment. The sage-like hue popped up all over the Spring/Summer 2026 fashion runways, from Carolina Herrera to Gucci.

If you can’t decide on blue or green, maybe meet somewhere in the middle with a “millennial mint” throwback, as seen in Essie’s Mint Candy Apple. The bold, bright hue is rising in popularity once again — just like so many other early aughts trends these days!

And if you’d prefer to warm things up with a more sunny hue, then juicy citrus-inspired orange nails are sure to brighten up your spring and summer days. This orangeade shade (like China Glaze’s Orange Knockout) plays a big role in the Aperol Spritz nail trend, too. Just layer on a glossy gold shimmer to complete the ode to the quintessential summer aperitif.

DrMode Angled Head Toenail Clippers

You probably already have a go-to nail clipper for your fingernails. But if you need something a little more specialized to tackle your toenails, these have a wider jaw to accommodate thicker nails, and an anti-slip handle and angled head for more ergonomic clipping. They also collect your toenail clippings so they don’t go flying across the room!

Price: $12.98 at Amazon

Pueen Nail Art Peel-Off Cuticle Guard

If you’re not great at coloring inside the lines (guilty!), this peel-off polish barrier will make manis and pedis a breeze. Just brush this stuff on the skin around your nail, polish your nails without abandon, and peel off your mess to reveal a neat and clean manicure or pedicure.

Price: $4.98 at Walmart

Collapsible Foot Bath with Massage Acupoint

mint green foot bath with handle
Image: Amazon

To get the true nail salon experience at home, treat your tootsies to a nice soak that’ll soften them up for exfoliation and easier toenail clipping. While you could splurge a little for an option with heat and bubbles instead, we like this easy-to-store, collapsible basin, especially if you’re short on space. It also has lots of massaging nodules on the bottom to ease sore, tired feet.

Price: $18.99 (orig. $28.98) at Amazon

Dr. Scholl’s Hard Skin Remover Nano Glass Foot File

Dr. Scholl's Foot File and box

If winter boots and dry air have left your feet calloused and cracked, this foot file will help you get ’em soft and smooth once again. The textured nano glass surface gently buffs and exfoliates skin, and it has a comfy, soft-touch handle for easy use. Plus, it’s waterproof and rust-proof so you can easily rinse it clean.

Price: $8.47 at Amazon

Baby Foot Original Exfoliation Lavender Scented Foot Peel

If your dry, cracked and calloused winter feet need a little extra attention, prep ’em a week before your pedicure with this exfoliating foot peel. You just soak your feet in these bags of specialized gel for an hour, then watch as the dead skin of seasons’ past sloughs off like a snake, revealing baby-soft skin within 3–7 days.

Price: $25 at Ulta

ILNP Glass Candy Top Coat

ILNP bottle of nail top coat

No matter what color nail polish you choose for your manicure or pedicure, just be sure to add an ultra-shiny top coat at the end. It’s a must to achieve the high-gloss nail looks that are so on-trend this summer — even (and especially) if your colored nail polish has a matte finish. A layer of this Glass Candy top coat easily makes any polish pop and sparkle under the sun.

Recreate Coachella’s Most Coveted Festival Dishes at Home With These 5 Recipes

You’ve likely seen TikTok videos about the food at Coachella by now, with most of them highlighting how pricey the meals can be. And, I can definitely concur that the snacks cost a pretty penny. However, as an attendee of both RevolveFest (pretty much an influencer and celebrity hotspot where the food is complimentary) and the main festival, I will defend the fact that although the prices skyrocket, there are some pretty delicious eats available.

The California-based music fest serves up everything you can imagine: cocktails (showcasing brands like Aperol and Absolut Vodka), desserts like ice cream and Italian ice, pizza, sushi, burgers, barbecue, sandwiches, ramen, hot dogs, poke, tacos, — and that’s just the tip of the iceberg. The vendors range from historic Los Angeles-based restaurants (hi, Irv’s Burgers and Sweetfin) to nationwide household names, such as Dave’s Hot Chicken.

If you’re planning on watching the performances from the comfort of your own couch, then you can actually get the festival food right at home, too. Keep scrolling to see exactly what my friends and I munched on this Coachella season, and how you can recreate the recipe at home with just a few ingredients.

El Pollo Loco Chicken Tenders

El Pollo Loco Chicken Tenders

The fast food chain has recently been testing its chicken tenders, which are seasoned with Mexican spices, and I loved how flavorful they were. Make a version of them yourself with Tyson’s All Natural Crispy Chicken Strips (if you’re trying to avoid making them from scratch), some chili powder, and your favorite mayonnaise-based sauce.

Kogi BBQ Tacos

Kogi BBQ Tacos

We stopped by this taco truck, founded by Korean-American celebrity chef Roy Choi, for some spicy pork tacos. Grab some pork, tortillas, shredded lettuce, and a Korean-inspired barbecue sauce to recreate this mouth-watering meal. Or, go completely homemade with this tasty recipe.

How Ya Dough’n Pizza

How Ya Dough’n Pizza

Revolve’s festival offered gourmet pizza from How Ya Dough’n, while the Coachella field presented popular East Coast hotspots like Prince St. Pizza. No matter which way you slice it, pepperoni pizza was on the menu. Pick up pizza dough, marinara sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni on the way home to replicate this meal for yourself.

Irv’s Burgers Cheeseburger

Irv’s Burgers Cheeseburger

Okay, so a cheeseburger and fries isn’t groundbreaking, but it sure makes for an appetizing meal (especially when you’ve been scorching in the sun all day watching to see your favorite artists, without much food!). Stock your fridge with ground beef, sliced American cheese, and hamburger buns to recreate this all-American classic.

How to Plan the Perfect Spring Picnic for Anyplace and Any Vibe

The sun’s shining, the butterflies are fluttering and the flowers are blooming: it finally feels like spring has arrived. So what better time to take a little escape from your everyday, well, everything and enjoy a picnic in the park? Or at the beach. Or on the sidelines of your kids’ soccer practice. Or even in your own backyard. We can make this thing happen anywhere — promise!

Picnics are having a major moment this spring as folks are purposefully carving out time for less tech, more in-person socialization and the general romanticization of the little things in life. But the truth is, picnics have been a criminally underrated social gathering for far too long! Whether you’re meeting up with friends, making a quick lunch break escape or looking for an easy-breezy weeknight date, all you need is some simple gear to keep food fresh, drinks cold, and butts dry and comfy.

If you’re seeking a little inspiration to bring your perfect picnic to life, read on to find everything you need (and then some) to plan your next picnic anywhere, with anyone and on any budget.

For a Luxe Park Picnic

Maybe you’re celebrating a big occasion or maybe you’re just gathering with your girls for a DIY brunch. Either way, you might as well go all out with a luxe and aesthetic picnic in the park. But pro tip: Pick a spot that’s not too far from parking so you don’t have to make a huge trek to get everything set up!

Genovega 2 in 1 Extra Large Outdoor Picnic Blanket

beige and white picnic blanket
Image: Amazon

Set the stage with an extra large picnic blanket where everyone can get comfy. This one’s pretty ingenious as it actually has two layers: a woven top with a pretty boho print in your choice of four colors, and a durable, waterproof base. You can use them separately, or layer them together to get the best of both form and function.

Price: $35.99 at Amazon

Folding Picnic Table with Table Runner

light wooden picnic table with runner
Image: Amazon

While a tabletop isn’t a must-have, it’ll definitely elevate the experience both literally and figuratively. It’ll allow you to have a steady base for proper place settings and offer more food and drink options that might otherwise get unwieldy. This low-height table is perfect for picnics and comes in different sizes to suit your crowd. Best of all, it folds down and has built-in handles for easier transport.

Price: $169.99 (orig. $229.99) at Amazon

ONEIDA 24 Seven Melamine Floral 12-Piece Dinnerware Set

Image: Lenox

This 12-piece dinnerware set is made from lightweight, shatterproof bamboo-melamine so it’s super outdoor-friendly (but it’s also top-rack dishwasher-safe for easy cleanup later). The gorgeous floral-adorned set comes with four each of dinner plates, accent plates and all-purpose bowls — the latter of which will come in handy for serving dips, spreads, olives and other small snacks.

Price: $34.99 (orig. $50) at Lenox

Set of 2 Washable Floor Pillow Cushion

two beige square floor pillows with white table
Image: Amazon

To make the experience even more luxe, add some cushy seating for your crew. These floor pillows are perfect in so many ways: cute, comfy, highly-cushioned and easily portable with built-in handles. But they really take the cake thanks to their removable, washable covers, so there’s no need to worry about using them outdoors.

Price: $49.39 for 2 at Amazon

Farberware Build-A-Board Bamboo Cutting Board

cutting board with grapes, cheese and olives
Image: Amazon

What’s a luxe picnic without some charcuterie? This natural bamboo tray offers a flat cutting board on one side and grooved compartments on the other, so you can prep and display all with one tool. There’s plenty of space for meats, cheeses, fruits, crackers, nuts and more. It also comes with a clear, lockable lid so you can prep at home and take on the go.

Price: $26.99 (orig. $33.99) at Amazon

Picnic at Ascot Original Insulated Wine and Cheese Cooler Bag

navy picnic backpack with cutting board and utensils
Image: Amazon

This insulated backpack cooler is the perfect size for two nice bottles of sparkling apple cider, wink wink. (Not trying to get you pinched for drinking in public over here — but you do what you’ve got to do!) It also comes with two acrylic glasses, cloth napkins, a corkscrew, a bottle stopper, cheese knife and a cute little cutting board for your on-the-go cheese pairings.

Price: $62.95 at Amazon

For a Breezy Beach Picnic

A beach picnic is just like a park picnic, except you’re contending with sand, wind and water. So yeah, not that similar after all. Fortunately, there are easy swaps — like better-insulated coolers — to make the seaside snacking experience just as enjoyable.

RTIC Ultra-Tough Soft Cooler in Sage

mint green cooler bag
Image: Amazon

Pack your drinks and snacks in this durable, 30-can-capacity cooler and the contents will stay cold up for to two days. It’s also built to float — just in case that tide comes in a little too close while you’re taking a post-lunch nap in the sun!

Price: $129 at Amazon

Grand Trunk Parasheet Beach Blanket

teal and aqua beach blanket
Image: Dick’s Sporting Goods

This highly durable nylon beach “blanket” is super-sized yet super-lightweight, so it’s no hassle to lug from the car to the shore. It has stakes and corner pockets you can fill with sand to keep it from blowing away in the seabreeze, and it’s easy to wipe the sand from its surface for a tidy picnic space under the sun.

Price: $39.95 at Dick’s Sporting Goods

Neso Beach Table

beige and rainbow stripe fold up beach table
Image: Amazon

Is this lightweight, fold-down beach table a bit of splurge? Sure. But it’ll feel pretty priceless when you’re enjoying your picnic without gritty sand seasoning, and your beverages are still standing upright!

Price: $70 at Amazon

For a Quick City Picnic

Grab your work bestie and escape the day’s most mundane moments with a quick picnic on your lunch break — even if it’s just on a park bench alongside that little square of green near your office building! You don’t want to lug around a ton of stuff all day, though, so the key here is compact, utilitarian and cute where it counts, of course.

The All Day Julienne Mini Cooler

light blue and white stripe picnic cooler bag
Image: Stanley

Stanley just dropped the prettiest Spring Picnic Collection of tumblers and coolers, and we’re obsessed. This mini cooler is so ready for any daycation, really, but is especially perfect for a quick lunchtime picnic. It has a 10-can storage capacity and can keep your lunch cool for up to 12 hours — but it’s also pretty enough that it won’t be super obvious that you’re packing snacks to dash out the door when your break hits.

Price: $110 at Stanley

Matador Pocket Blanket Mini

mini picnic blanket in pouch in a hand
Image: REI

Is it the most aesthetic picnic blanket you’ve ever seen? No, it most definitely is not. (Although it is pretty darn cute when it’s all packed up in the palm of your hand!) However, it’s the most compact, lightweight and waterproof “blanket” that’ll turn even the most questionable park bench into a clean, dry and welcoming seat for your city picnic. Priceless, honestly.

Price: $22 at REI

Bentgo Classic Stackable 3-Compartment Bento Box

multi compartment bento box showing pasta, salad and utensils
Image: Amazon

Maximize space in your mini cooler with this compact, stackable bento box. It’s perfect for two because you can pack an individual meal in each tray, which in turn doubles as your dish — just unstack the boxes, grab your tray and dig in! The downside is that it only comes with one set of utensils, but you can easily stash another set in your bag.

Price: $14.99 (orig. $16.99) at Amazon

For a Family-Friendly Sideline Picnic

Your kids’ sports practices are prime time for socializing with your fellow soccer moms and dads, so you might as well enhance the experience with a nice picnic setup. We’re going for maximum functionality here, so look out for clever gear to serve a small crowd.

Insulated Wicker Picnic Basket for 4

wicker picnic bag with utensils, cups and mini salt and pepper
Image: Amazon

Aesthetic woven picnic basket on the outside and roomy insulated cooler on the inside, this is the perfect sidekick for stashing snacks and drinks for you, your kids and your fellow “soccer moms” at practice. Plus, the wooden top is actually a freestanding table with fold-down legs and cutouts to hold the four included plastic wine glasses. (Obviously, those are just for juice when on duty in soccer mom mode!)

Price: $54.99 at Amazon

Genovega Waterproof Picnic Blanket

green and white checkered picnic blanket
Image: Amazon

This oversized picnic blanket is so classic with its pretty gingham print, but it’s also super functional for the outdoors — and messy kids. The scratch-resistant, waterproof material is lightweight, making it easy to shake off dirt and crumbs when it’s time to head home.

Price: $26.99 at Amazon

4 Tier Tiffin Lunch Box

silver round stackable picnic tower
Image: Amazon

Tiffin boxes are ideal for stackin’ snacks for any picnic, especially one that involves hungry kids. This stainless steel tiffin has four stackable compartments that lock together with a secure handle for easy transport.

Price: $29.99 at Amazon

Stanley Adventure Fast Flow Water Jug 2G

blue stanley water jug with spout
Image: Stanley

Keep the hydration free-flowing and easily accessible with this 2-gallon jug from Stanley. The BPA-free, double-walled foam construction keeps drinks cold for up to 13 hours (and even longer with ice), and it’s made with a leakproof, rugged design perfect for the outdoors.

Price: $55 at Stanley

For a Garden Party Picnic at Home

You don’t necessarily need to go far to enjoy a little al fresco dining. If you have any semblance of an outdoor space — whether it’s a backyard, porch or even a little balcony — you can make a picnic happen. This one’s all about the aesthetic, so feel free to lean into more luxe and less portable.

Bridgerton x Williams Sonoma Picnic Basket

wicker basket with toile blanket, cutting board and glass of wine
Image: Williams Sonoma

This Bridgerton-inspired picnic set is absolutely gorgeous — and, personally, way too expensive to trust myself with transporting it any farther than my own backyard. That’s why it’s the perfect splurge for this purpose! Fortunately, it has everything you need (sans food) for an intimate garden party picnic date for two, including a beautiful handwoven basket, embossed ceramic plates, golden flatware and wine glasses. There’s also accoutrements for your wine and cheese, and a pretty blanket to set the whole scene.

Price: $349.95 at Williams Sonoma
